My first exposure to the wonderful world of color and painting was with Plein Air classes in my early teens. My professional career took me into the medical world, as a physical therapist, but when I retired, the painting-bug was hovering about as I considered what I was going to do next. I started painting on my own in 2007 about 5 years ago, developing a passion, from which I quickly realized that art instruction would be necessary were I to gain an increased comfort level with what I wanted to do. For the past two years, I have been painting independently and experimenting with my own creativity.

Artists Statement: I feel that art is created and felt from within by both the artist and the viewer. When someone else "loves” what I have “loved” creating, what greater reward can there be?
