I love color! I love the vibrant display that nature puts before us, from the first blush of spring flowers, to the verdant rush of summer vegetables, to the bronze explosions of autumn's bounty, to the quiet beauty of a frosted holly bush.
Capturing those exquisite expressions of nature requires taking the time to find the patterns of light and shadow that reveal the rhythm of life. Finding a way to put that on a canvas is a process full of challenges, surprises, disappointments, and discovery. At my easel, there are those wonderful moments when time and place disappear, as I am totally absorbed by the process of creating art.
