Based in North Granby, Connecticut, I work primarily in oil on wood panels and paper, creating still lifes, landscapes, and portraits of people and animals. Whether working from life, painting outdoors, or using reference photographs, I strive to capture the character of each subject with an emphasis on light, color, and composition.

I studied Fine Art and Graphic Design at Holyoke Community College and Westfield State University and have continued my artistic education through workshops and classes with many accomplished local artists. My background in graphic design continues to influence my painting, shaping my sense of composition, color, and even the subjects I choose to paint. It encourages me to look for strong visual relationships and compelling design in both everyday scenes and traditional subjects.

The joy of observation and the challenge of seeing and interpreting light and color are what continually inspire me to paint. Through my work, I hope to encourage viewers to slow down, look closely, and discover the beauty and character in the world around them.
