Katherine Tolve
Katherine Tolve is a mixed-media artist who explores a wide range of materials and techniques, including painting, encaustics, stained glass, murals, and public art. She owns The Art Room, a teaching studio in Windsor Locks where she fosters creativity in artists of all ages. She also teaches at libraries and senior centers and collaborates with local therapists to provide therapeutic art experiences.
Her work can be seen across Connecticut, including a mural at Bradley International Airport, a barn quilt at the Hathaway House in Suffield, and a mixed-media painting at Bristol Hospital. A University of Hartford graduate with a BFA in Painting, Katherine is committed to lifelong learning and creating community-centered art that is always colorful, expressive, and a little funky.
