The Granby Artists Association was formed in 2001 by a group of adventurous, hard-working artists eager to build and support the artistic community in Granby, CT.  In 2006, when Granby Artists became a non-profit 501(c) (3) Corporation, it adopted the following mission:

To create a climate which promotes the visual arts and fine crafts, to create professional artistic high quality events, and to support art education in the community as a nonprofit Association.

We've come a long way in the past 20 years and look back in appreciation at where we started and where we are now! With the enthusiastic support of the Granby community, members of Granby Artists have taught and demonstrated, while hosting family art days, community art projects, exhibits, holiday gift shows, and 18 open studio tours.

And now, with all those successes, we are looking to raise the visibility of the visual arts even further. By shifting away from a juried membership to an open membership, the Granby Artists will be better able to foster creativity and the arts here in our community.

No matter whether you love the arts and just want to support the local arts community, or you are an artist looking to connect with other creative, arts-minded individuals, you are invited to join the New Granby Artists Association!

We will continue to hold our current high-quality events and we are excited to be adding new opportunities for members to explore, brainstorm, talk and create art together. Even if you would just like to support our annual scholarship to a graduating Granby Memorial High School senior, who is entering college to study the visual arts, we welcome and encourage that support.

Please join us and become a proud member of the Granby Artists Association!
