Beth McIntyre
Beth McIntyre, a local Realtor Associate and avid shutterbug, resides in beautiful West Granby with her husband and myriad critters on a gentleman’s farm.
Introduced to photography by her dad, teenage Beth became interested in the craft and studied photography in Boston while attending Emerson College. Her background is in black and white film photography and darkroom development.
After college, Beth ran a darkroom for a Connecticut-based professional photographer. She and her husband, Lewis, bought their first house in 1986, and started a family. Subsequently, Beth’s photography pursuits were put on hold until 2019, when Lewis surprised Beth with her first digital camera and two kit lenses. With her extensive background in film photography, Beth was able to fully submerse herself in producing digital images and developing a personal style uniquely her own.
The transition from black and white film photography to digital cultivated a passion for color, shape, form, and light. Beth experiments with photographic methods and post-processing techniques to create art that blends the brilliance of nature and inspires a joy for the natural world.
