Tracy Marlor

I have had a hand in pottery for over 30 years, beginning with my first pottery class in high school. Pottery captured my interest then and has been an integral part of my life ever since.

My love for gardening, the ocean, and the colors and beauty of nature are all reflected in my pottery. Organic elements such as leaves, shells, and sea creatures often embellish my pieces.

The rich colors of nature’s palette found in summer flowers, the deep hues of autumn leaves, and the blues of the vast ocean are reproduced in the glazes that grace each piece.

Inspiration comes from a simple walk in the woods or along an empty beach, even from the people and places encountered in everyday life.

With my continued exploration in clay, my style has evolved over time as I try new techniques and encounter new experiences. I am still thrilled and amazed when a piece I create unexpectedly incorporates an experience in my life.

Sharing my pottery and seeing the joy it brings to others gives me the motivation to continue to hone my skills and to try new things!
